Nudge Delivery

Sometimes you may notice you didn't receive your nudge or perhaps it came late. There are many reasons for this. Most people aren't aware of the many hurdles in place for an e-mail to arrive into the inbox of a mail system. The first hurdle is that the e-mail needs to leave the server on time. DailyNudge has a good hosted server that is extremely reliable. However, once the e-mail leaves the server, it can go through two different gateways. Sometimes it goes through our hosting provider gateways and sometimes it goes through an e-mail delivery service. These gateways are extremely reliable, but it's possible there's a problem or delay on these systems. Next, your nudge has to travel the internet to your e-mail system (like Yahoo, Google, AOL, etc.). In the early days of the internet, it was common for things like e-mail to get stuck in the internet somewhere. It rarely happens these days, but it's still possible. Next, the e-mail has to make it through your e-mail system's gateways and spam checkers. Sometimes, your e-mail system's gateways could be having problems or the nudges could look like spam and be rejected. Fortunately, DailyNudge doesn't see too many spam rejections, but it does happen. Spam checking is getting very sophisticated. DailyNudge has to stay on top of the latest technologies and work to make sure your e-mail gets to you on time.
